1. Using Kurl Connect
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the entity operating Kurl Connect concerning your access to and use of the Kurl Connect website, platform, applications, content, community features and related services.
Kurl Connect is a European platform created to help people with curly, coily and textured hair discover salons, stylists and hair professionals who understand textured hair. Kurl Connect may provide salon discovery, stylist discovery, business profiles, reviews, ratings, community content, communications, bookings and other features.
By accessing or using Kurl Connect, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
You must have the legal capacity required by the laws applicable to you to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age at which you can legally enter into such an agreement independently, you may use Kurl Connect only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
Where an account is required, you agree to provide accurate information and keep that information reasonably current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account, except where that activity results from circumstances for which you are not responsible.
You must not use Kurl Connect for unlawful purposes or in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the platform or interfere with another person's use of the Services.
Kurl Connect may modify, improve, suspend or discontinue features from time to time. Where a change materially affects a paid service or contractual obligation already undertaken by Kurl Connect, we will comply with applicable consumer and contractual requirements.
Kurl Connect does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems, security incidents, third-party services or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Kurl Connect is a technology and discovery platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Kurl Connect is not the salon, stylist, barber or beauty professional whose services may be displayed through the platform.

2. Salons, Stylists & Bookings
2. Salons, Stylists & Bookings
Kurl Connect exists to make it easier for users to discover salons and stylists who specialise in or have experience with curly, coily and textured hair.
Information concerning salons and stylists may be supplied directly by the relevant business, submitted by users, obtained from publicly available sources or provided by third parties. We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate and useful information, but salon information can change without notice.
Kurl Connect does not guarantee that a salon's address, opening hours, pricing, services, qualifications, availability, photographs, descriptions or other information will always be complete, accurate or current. Before relying on information that may materially affect your appointment or purchase, you should confirm it directly with the relevant salon or stylist.
Kurl Connect may identify certain businesses as "Verified", "Specialist" or using another designation. Such designation means only that the business has satisfied the criteria established by Kurl Connect for that designation at the relevant time. It does not constitute a professional licence, regulatory certification, guarantee of quality, guarantee of safety or guarantee of a particular result.
A salon or stylist remains responsible for the services it provides. Kurl Connect does not itself provide hairdressing, barbering, beauty, cosmetic or medical services through the platform.
If Kurl Connect provides a booking feature, the booking process will identify the relevant service provider and any terms applicable to the appointment. Depending on how the booking is made, the contract for the provision of the salon service may be between you and the salon or stylist rather than between you and Kurl Connect.
Prices, appointment availability, deposits, cancellation terms, refunds, services, treatment conditions and appointment requirements may be determined by the relevant salon or stylist. Where a third-party booking provider is used, its own terms may also apply.
Where Kurl Connect processes a payment on behalf of a salon or stylist, the applicable payment terms will be presented before payment is made. Payment processing may be carried out by an external payment provider.
Kurl Connect is not responsible for the quality, outcome, safety, cancellation, availability or performance of services provided by a salon or stylist, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Hair and scalp needs vary significantly between individuals. Kurl Connect does not guarantee that a particular stylist, treatment, product or technique will produce a particular result. You are responsible for communicating relevant information to the salon or stylist before receiving a service, including information concerning allergies, sensitivities, previous treatments or other circumstances that may affect the service.
Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable European or national law.

Kurl Connect is designed to create a genuine and respectful community around textured hair. Users may be able to publish reviews, ratings, photographs, comments, stories and other content through the platform.
You remain responsible for content that you submit to Kurl Connect. By submitting content, you represent that you have the right to submit it and that your submission does not unlawfully infringe the privacy, intellectual property, contractual or other rights of another person.
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. You must not knowingly publish a false review, create multiple accounts for the purpose of manipulating ratings, impersonate another person, submit a review on behalf of someone else without authorisation, or offer or accept an improper incentive in exchange for a review.
You must not use Kurl Connect to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, deliberately misleading or otherwise harmful. You must not publish another person's private information without a lawful basis or permission.
You must not upload content containing malicious software or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of Kurl Connect. You must not use automated systems to scrape, harvest or systematically extract information from Kurl Connect except where expressly authorised by us or permitted by applicable law.
When you submit content to Kurl Connect, you retain ownership of your content. You grant Kurl Connect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, communicate, distribute and adapt that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, improve and promote the Services.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Kurl Connect. It exists so that Kurl Connect can technically and commercially operate the community features for which you submitted the content.
You acknowledge that content submitted for public display may be visible to other users and, depending on the feature, may be accessible to members of the public. You should therefore avoid including information that you do not wish to make public.
Kurl Connect may moderate content where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, enforce these Terms, protect the platform or maintain the integrity of the community. We may remove, restrict, disable access to or decline to publish content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.
Where applicable law requires Kurl Connect to provide mechanisms for reporting illegal content or challenging moderation decisions, those mechanisms will be made available through the platform. European online platforms may be subject to obligations under the Digital Services Act concerning illegal content reporting, content moderation and user rights.
The Kurl Connect name, logo, visual identity, software, website design, databases, original text, graphics, interfaces and other materials created by Kurl Connect are owned by or licensed to Kurl Connect and may not be reproduced, commercially exploited, modified or redistributed without permission, except where such use is permitted by law.

4. Liability, Termination & Legal Terms
Kurl Connect will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. However, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted, completely secure, error-free or free from inaccurate or outdated information.
Kurl Connect is not responsible for the acts, omissions, qualifications, representations, services or conduct of salons, stylists, businesses, users or other third parties using or appearing on the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that applicable law requires us to accept.
Subject to mandatory legal rights, Kurl Connect will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform where such exclusion is permitted by applicable law.
If you use Kurl Connect to arrange an appointment or purchase a service from a salon or stylist, the salon or stylist remains responsible for providing that service. Any dispute concerning the service itself should ordinarily be addressed with the relevant provider, without prejudice to any rights you may have against Kurl Connect under applicable law.
Kurl Connect may suspend or terminate your account or restrict access to the Services where we reasonably believe that you have materially breached these Terms, used the platform unlawfully, engaged in fraud or abuse, threatened the safety of another person, compromised the security of the platform or otherwise created a serious risk to Kurl Connect or its community.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice and, where appropriate, an opportunity to remedy the relevant breach.
You may stop using Kurl Connect at any time. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination or provisions which by their nature are intended to continue after termination.
Our processing of personal data is governed by the Kurl Connect Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read that policy.
Kurl Connect may amend these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to our Services, business, technology or applicable law. Where a change is material, we will provide appropriate notice where required by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to the mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the country where you reside. If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Where applicable, consumers may have access to statutory alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Any applicable information concerning an authorised mediation or dispute resolution process will be provided by Kurl Connect in accordance with the law applicable to the business and the relevant consumer.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force to the extent permitted by law.
The failure of Kurl Connect to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision later.
